Al Gore: as wildfire. Bayrou: as a wet firecracker?
Two days ago, a friend of mine told me that it was official: americans are now less stupid than frenchies!
Yesterday Al Gore signed up for twitter.
As soon as Kevin Rose validated that it was the true one, we were about 300 people to follow him. 2 hours later more than 4,000. And since, almost 3 people per minute!

Here's a part of a simple receipt for politicians from all around the world: sign up, make an interview with a popular twitterer to validate that you will be a true, authentical and sincere twitterer and the world will follow you. Well, breath, I just mean will follow your tweets ;-)
I'm not sure yet I'll go on following Al Gore. It will depend on how he will manage his account.
Then, say something interesting! :-) Interact with your followers, listen, answer, accord your twitter account a few time each day to manage it. You won't lose your precious time.
Note to the braves who will go west twitter:
If you're not yet on twitter, monitor what's happening around your name. Yesterday, I saw a twitter account opened in behalf of a french politician. I would bet it is a fake one!
Update: I've received the confirmation by email that this account is a fake one.

Here comes again the eternal question of digital identity and credibility and trust! Next time I will see his name appear, he would have more efforts to do to convince me to follow him without a reliable twitterer accreditation :-)
And what if it is his own account? Well, in this case too, he's doing wrong! 20 followers in one day and the doubt about the real owner of this account are a kind of proof, aren't they?
A french Obama ?
Since Obama election, I've heard hundred times a day that we need a "french Obama".
Many reasons are given to explain why we don't have one. (even eBay doesn't sale this kind of item ;-) From "french system is too locked for one to emerge", to "french people do not use tools as twitter, it would be a waste of time".
The main reason, please, forgive my chutzpa, is not said: the main reasonis that they all do it wrong!
Last year the same french politician opened an account on Viadeo, known as "the french LinkedIn". As for today, 3 contacts... few, that's so few!
I won't pretend that french people are already on twitter. Neither that twitter is the right place for a french politician. But truly, it should be time to think about it and find a place on the internet, go outside of your institutional blogs/sites. Go out on the internet! There's life, light and conversations there!
Plus, guyz, you even need to sometimes speak english. That will not kill the french language. I promise. Fact.
